And as yesterday went, I pondered about how the earthquake could be a metaphor. For me it was an inconvenient interruption to a good intentioned and well needed night’s rest. This struck me as a reminder that we can plan all we want, but in reality, we have no clue what is going to happen most of the time. The best we can do is set our intentions, prepare, and then roll with life as it comes.
Another thing I asked myself after being all shook up is what needs some shaking up inside of me. We all get into our ruts and patterns of thoughts or actions and sometimes need to get a bit rattled to break out of them! So today I invite you to consider what needs to be shook up in your life. Where are you stagnant? What routines are you stuck in? What new thoughts or behaviors could you mix into your day that will put you in a better place? Do you currently have walls constructed inside of you that could come tumbling down?
Shake things up in your life a little. Feel the earth move under your feet. It might be a little scary at first but the payoff is that you could start rocking your own world.
Fondly,

This post made me smile because my best friend and I always struggle with our inner planner. We like to have everything planned so we know what to expect, and any last minute changes throw us completely off track. We're both working on this.
Sometimes I'll be in my car, jamming out to some song and I think "Why don't I do this more? I'm a happy person, but I really need to have more FUN."
